Hi Vaclav,
I can compile gpsim without problems: I'm updating snapshots at
http://gpsim.sourceforge.net/snap.php.
I think something is wrong with your cygwin / gcc installation. Maybe
you should try to install it from scratch...
Maybe you could write a simple program calling fgetwc function, just to
see if it compiles without problems?
