I think that's a risky statement, because how the distribution works
is very important to me. The original question did not say what the
motivation for the question is, so it's impossible for everyone here
to share their (vast!) experience with gputils.

Me, I really like Gentoo. But Fedora Electronic Lab (FEL) looks very
interesting for EDA tasks:
