I'm the perpetrator of this. picprg2.3 is an updated version of Brian Lane's
picprg programmer for the 16F84 under Linux. The updated version deals with
the change in parallel port handling from the Linux 2.0 to the 2.2/2.4 kernels
and adds code for programming 16F87Xand 16F62X chips.
