I have not actively used gpasm under Mac OX X for PIC development but I have
compiled it and tried it out and it appears to work. In order to compile it
you follow the usual configure, make, make install process accept that the
configure script does not automatically recognise the host so you have to
specify it manually, so compilation goes along these lines:
./configure --host=ppc.apple.bsd
make
make install
It appears to run fine under Mac OS X, as do most other quality pieces of UNIX
software :-)
