Hello guys. My name is Giannos Manuel and I'm new th this place (!almost).
I've
downloaded the "prog84-2.3b" and I constructed the parallel programmer
indicated
inside the "old-README" file in the file "schematic.ps". The "jig" program
controls
perfect the signals MCLR, Vpp, DATA, CLOCK (with the respective commands
m0/1, p0/1,
d0/1 and c0/1). But when I try to program a 16F876 I get these messages:
"[root@localhost prog84-2.3]# ./prog84 -T 16876 -a -x stepmo.hex
16876 16x876

using 16x876 (16876) chip
XERROR: sent 16 bits: 20816 (050520), got 16400 (040020)
Resetting & powering down.
[root@localhost prog84-2.3]#"
Another thing is that the capacitor depicted at the schematic, it's value is
not
given. I don't know if this is critical (I've added one 100uF/16V).
I don't know if I forgot to write any copyrights relevant to the programs
above.
I'm sorry for that and please tell me so to include them in my next e-mail.
The system I run on is a "MANDRAKE 8.0" with 2.4.3 kernel.
Thanks for the hospitality
