I modified the alfa.c program I menitioned, so it uses unsigned chars.

cycles used:
	sdcc picc -O -Gz	ccsc
init	0 (?)	0x96 ?
t1 0x5a 0x66 0x6a-x (init. is included here for ccsc)
t2 0x30e 0x302 0x2e7
t3 0x13219 0x1348b 0x12f44

program memory used:
	init program total
sdcc 0x80
picc	0x12 0x93
ccsc 0x85

I couldn't easily seperate the init from the actual code
in ccsc, since it inlines everything.

These files:
ccsc.hex picc.hex results.txt sdcc.asm sdcc.hex
are at http://rfg.myip.org/sdcc/uchartest/
