From the looks of the error message, you do not have gtk development
installed. Try this:


$ locate gtkarrow.h

This is one of the files that gcc complains that it can't find. Is it
located on your computer anywhere?

Which Linux distro are you using? If it's rpm based, you can try:

$ rpm -qa | grep gtk

I've got gtk+-devel-1.2.8-7 installed on one system and
gtk+-devel-1.2.10-11 on another.
