gpasm is now part of gputils.

http://gputils.sourceforge.net

gputils, when complete, will include gpasm, gplink, and gplib. All are
intended to be compatible with Microchip's tools. gputils cvs contains
a good start at the new tools, but there is much to be done. It will
take several releases before the new tools are usable.

A release of the new package will occur in a week or so. This first
release will basically be gpasm-0.9.14 + bugfixes + the new half
finished tools. Eventhough gputils has not yet been released, please
start using the gputils bug tracker to submit new bug reports (with
gpasm).

Shortly after the first release of gputils, a gputils-extra package will
be released. This first release will be very small. The number of
contributors hit an astonishing ... two (if I include myself). So far
the package includes some source files from Carlos Nieves Onega, a gpasm
syntax file for vim, and the CAN controller include file that started
this whole mess.
