Thanks for the prompt reply guys,

I did a commercial Computer degree, hence very little electronics. I want to
be able write a program, burn it to a chip and using a keypad, navigate the
app using an lcd. I know this is asking a lot, but I am prepared to take
small steps in learning. I use object pascal(delphi 5) to develope apps.

Once again, Thanks
Dion.

This will work. Any particular chip in mind? Also what platform are you
planning to use? Do you have any circuit building experience?

With some more information we probably can help you find the right path.
