Hi all,

I plugged in dmalloc to nanox(ver 0.90) and found lot
of leaks pointing to ft_alloc(), the freetype2
internal malloc API. I upgraded to freetype 2.1.7,
(one of the latest releases, 2004 Feb), still the
leaks are as is.So i feel i cant suspect freetype
library anymore.. but somewhere in the way nanox uses
it. To dig into the problem more i removed the
ftcache
 (HAVE_FREETYPE_2_CACHE) support from
 engine/font_freetype2.c. There were some compilation
issues which i fixed.. but when i run fontdemo.sh
font
rendering is totally screwed up.. i see all junk
glyphs on the screen. Any clues ?

My plan is to add freetype-2.1.9 release but the
problem is FTcache has been rewritten in 2.1.8, i am
 looking thru the API changes.

thanks and regards
tojo
