Not all of that came from me except as a relay, ISTR I got some
of that from Reinhard Max. I played with the calibration
position, The starting origins and maximum length and a lamp
warmup sleep I'd hard coded.

Unforch, its not running the motors now, or has a several minute
lamp warmup time that I only waited maybe 2 minutes for. Humm,
now I recall setting a 180 second warmup in plustek.conf for the
previous version that didn't work, yup, chopped the last 0 off
and its goes in the expected time.
Going back to look at the preview, its trashed, totally. All
gains are now set for maximum except luminance gamma, and there
is a faintly reddish image is all I see. The lamp was on when
the scan was made. The histogram displays aren't blank, but
close, only a bit on the left edges of the displays.
Then I tried a 100 dpi scan, with a full page set, a 100 dpi scan
gets me a black viewer page, with a small bit of red extending up
from the black ends of the histograms, but not enough to see it
in the viewer. I auto-adjust it, and a rescan now shows me a 99%
black page in the viewer with a small amount of red detail from
the image, rather like its bleeding through from black. No real
change from the preview.
I also have a lamp off in 1 minute set, so I'll wait for that.
It didn't, and it still left the lamp on when xsane was quit.
To recap, the lamp warmup now works, the image isn't, and the
lamp is left on at quitting time. A re-run shuts it off. Is
that option supposed to be a 1, or a 'yes' ?
I'll see what the diffs are, but thats tommorrow night, its been
a long weekend of wee hours work at the transmitter & the old
mans about worn out.
