maybe we should reveille our plans of me and my scanner visiting you,
Gerhard.  I thought it wasn't needed anymore as the scanner started to
produce sort of reasonable output.

I have queried them in January - not even for hardware, just for
documentation. I've tried it at Epson's official developer web site
and later via our (SuSE's) contact person at Epson who is known to be
rather responsive regarding printers, but I never got any reply. :(
