This may sound rather silly, but if I install the sane 1.0.7 rpm do I
also need the plustek module? If so, what do I do with it, as I seem to
no longer have a sane-backends directory in my home folder?
I installed the rpm and after some fiddling sane-find-scanner finds
a scanner at various places, two of which are links to the third.
Scanimage will not, however, and running it with 'export
SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=12 produces the information that:
can't open [usb] 0x07B3 0x0017 as a device
- then-
can't open device /dev/usbscanner as a device
Help please!
