Hi,
I have been using the plustek module for quite a while now (since 0.37.23, I
think), but recently have started having problems. I have had reason to
switch to linux 2.4.18 from 2.4.17. However, I now find that I cannot install
the module, as it have many unresolved symbols.
I have tried versions 0.40.17 and 0.41.5 (for Sane 1.0.6 and 1.0.7
respectively), using both the Mandrake 8.2 and vanilla 2.4.18 kernels, and
get identical results. I have no problems when using kernel < 2.4.18
The unresolved symbols are:
devfs_register
parport_unregister_device
parport_enumerate
devfs_mk_dir
create_proc_entry
devfs_unregister
parport_register_device
proc_mkdir
remove_proc_entry
parport_claim
devfs_register_chrdev
devfs_find_handle
parport_release
proc_root
The lines I have in /etc/modules.conf are:
alias char-major-40 pt_drv
pre-install pt_drv modprobe -k parport
options pt_drv lampoff=180 warmup=15 port=0x378 lOffonEnd=0 mov=0 slowIO=0
forceMode=0
Any ideas?
