Does anyone have any ideas on this?
Scanner: OpticPro 4800P
Computer: Compaq Armada M300 laptop with MEU (mobile expansion unit)
System: RH7.2 2.4.7-10 kernel
Module: plustek-module-0_40_17.tar.gz
Para-Port Set to EPP
Symptoms: When I plug the scanner into my laptop with out the MEU then
everything works fine as it should. Now, the MEU contains the floppy and
CD-RW Drives, stereo speakers, Para-port, video, ttyS0, USB, PS/2,
Keyboard connector, docking bay interface. Many of these ports are
dueplicats of what is on the cpu. I use the MEU as I would a docking
bay, bringing only the computer home in at the end of the day.
What happens is when I use the MEA the scanner will function for only a
short time then my software will not be able to load / re-load the driver
and nothing works. I then have to reboot and reset the scanner (by
removing the power cable) to get it working again. I'm guessing this is
an interrupt thing but I'm not quite sure how to "trouble shoot" this.
Any idea on how to make the MEU work all the time.
