Hi,
the BIOS can't be set to plain EPP! As the detection routines
show-up EPP(ECP)! (I've not written them though ;-)))
Please try and play around with your BIOS settings, starting with SPP!
I think you won't get good results, if the communication with the
scanner is disturbed.
