I tried the version 0.43-3 and the lamp goes off went
I exit from Xsane (lOffOnEnd). The only problem is
that the light stays on with (lampOff).
Is there a way to have only one warmup when we open
sane and no warmup for each scan because when I scan a
lot of pictures, the time adds up very fast.

Hi there,
after receiving some patches and test-results, I build
up
version 0.43-3. It contains the fix for the buggy
switchLamp
function and newer settings for the HP. I think the
EPSON
should work now (regarding only the lamp) and I hope
the HP should do so as well!
If not, we should try and tweak the code interactively
'til
the lamp on/off story works - feel free and ask how
the sutff works.
Gene - the sleep after lamp off is not integrated,
I'll send you a patch
ASAP for testing...
