Hi Gene,
I got the samples! Well I've no idea why the plustek-list guys
started to limit mails. Maybe because of spammers...
But if the pictures are of general interest, I might put them onto my
homepage, so everybody can decide on their own to have a look at the
picture or not, to be honest, the 4.2Meg mail has filled up my mailbox
that kind, that it won't accept more mails, I first have to get all the
mails at home this evening....
To the pictures: I had the chance to look at them, and it seems to me
that there's indeed some kind of black calibration strip but Reinhard
says NO there's no balck calibration strip!
So what. Is the cover inside black or white. I guess it's black and
so we see the black cover...
Anyway, I'm not shure if tis can be used for calibration. In version
0.43-5, I've added a 2 seconds delay before reading the dark shading
data - see file plustek-usbshading.c - Gene, you might play around with this
value.
Maybe it helps to add some functionality to save the calibration data, so
we are able to see what data the alogrithm uses.
I see a long and stony way to go ;-)
