The problem seems to be the parameters in modules.conf:
This is a correct line:
options pt_drv lampoff=180 warmup=1 port=0x378 lOffonEnd=0 mov=0 slowIO=0f
orceMode=0
If your scanner is attached to LPT1 and you don't need any special settings,
you might skip the optinons line. The driver then uses the internal
defaults...
