Hi UMAX users,

it's been quite a long time, since I got a reply from somebody
that uses this scanner. It has been reported to work in some
resolutions > 100dpi. Below that, the motor simply does nothing
than making this horrible noise...
What can be done so far?
Well first of all I'd like you to check your Windoze installation
(if availabe) if it contains some kind of ini file for your scanner.
If not, please check the registry for scanner entries...
It might happen, that we can get the necessary settings out
of these information sources...
If not, I can try and recheck the settings and send you some
test versions to make the device work properly.

You might also check the settings of the device on your own,
see file plustek-devs.c Please feel free and "play" around
with the motor settings...

The main work will be to find out the correct settings
Thanks for helping
  Gerhard
