Hi Hein-Jan,

I'm sorry, you seem not to be alone ... My scanner (Epson Perfection 1260 
Photo) did his job very well for a couple of days and died last weekend. He 
made a lot of noise and scrambled the scans. I tested it with Wind**ws 2000 
and: the same result (so the scanner has a malfunction - maybe it's caused by 
sane / plustek-driver).

As I have seen, the scanner didn't crash at the end of the slide (oohh my bad 
english, I hope everybody understands) or on some other places of danger.

I'm using (correctly: I've used) sane 1.0.9-pre1 and plustek-driver 0-44-7.
