I understand about what your saying Is there anyway you know of someone that is more famliar with that installation under mandrake I have 2 machines running here at home and would benefit me if I could go under a chat with said user live to talk me through it as it happens to try and figure out what is going on to solve this. I have spent the past 18 mnts studing to be a network admin and trying to gain much more ecperience with linux since we got basic admin info under unix which i feel is a very impresive OS that is why I was so facinated by linux I just dont know which distro to use or which one is better than the other but I do appreciate you taking the time to create the plustek drivers and appreciate your help I must not be catching something while installing it ####@####.####
