Hi Chris,

the plustek-module stuff is only for the parallelport devices -->
not needed here!
Second: Use at least SANE-1.0.9.
Then make sure that the module scanner is loaded (see output of lsmod)
Then check the file dll.conf (in /usr/local/etc/sane.d or /etc/sane.d)
for the entry plustek (without leading #)
