Hi,
my equipment: SuSE 8.0 with SANE 1.0.7-59 (installed), xsane 0.83-123
(installed), scanner Plustek OpticPro PT12 at Parport 1 and I have
downloaded plustek-sane-0_41_5.tar.gz .
I had used "Installationsanleitung" from Nathan Karsten and Johannes
Prix. When I typed "make" to build the driver in the directory
.../backend/plustek_driver> the screen showed following lines:
#
Makefile to create the Plustek-Scanner kernel-module:
all ... builds the module
all DEBUG=y ... builds the module with debug-messages enabled
clean ... cleans up the show
install ... installs the module to the library path
uninstall ... removes the module from the library path
load ... tries to load the module and creates device nodes
unload ... unloads the module
petman@linux:~/Scanner/backend/plustek_driver>
#
...and there were no compiler arguments like gcc...
...and there is no file pt_drv.o in the directory .../plustek_driver>.
The lamp is on, but the scanner doesn't work.

What's to do now?

(Sorry, my english is not very pleasant, I'm an absolute amateur, I hope
you understand my problem!)

All the best..
Peter M.
