hi...
im newbie and wanna ask about umax 3450U driver. I
followed your instruction and usinng plustek driver
for my scanner. first i configured /etc/modules.conf
and added new line with "option scanner vendor=0x1606
product=0x0060" then at /etc/sane.d/plustek.conf, i
added "[usb] 0x1606 0x0060" and "device
/dev/usbscanner" (is it correct?).
continued with command "modprobe scanner", "mknod
/dev/usbscanner c 180 48", "chmod 666/dev/usbscanner".
Then type "sane-find-scanner"....appear text "# No
SCSI scanners found. If you expected something
different, make sure that
# you have loaded a SCSI driver for your SCSI
adapter.
found USB scanner (vendor=0x1606, product=0x0060) at
/dev/usb/scanner0
# Your USB scanner was detected. It may or may not
be supported by
# SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's
manpage.
# Scanners connected to the parallel port or other
proprietary ports can't be
# detected by this program.
# You may want to run this program as root to find
all devices. Once you
# found the scanner devices, be sure to adjust
access permissions as
# necessary.
"
next command "scanimage -d plustek:/dev/usbscanner"
appear...P6 #sane data follows 248 150 255
thats it....stop over here, when i tried to acquire
with gimp, i only found xsane device dialog refered to
xsane /dev/usb/scanner0.
what can i do now?
