Sane 1.0.9 without this patchlevel of the Plustek driver
was noticeably noisy at 200 dpi. With the 0.45-TEST4
driver the scanner was quiet at 200 dpi. I will report
details of other resolutions as I have time to test them,
if you wish.
Also, since people are reporting the "bug" about the light
staying on, maybe the default should be for it to go off
after 5 minutes and when SANE is exited? It would save a
lot of people a trip to the newsgroups!
