May I link to this description?
I have some notes upon this description:
- there's no need to patch the scanner kernel module, simply
add
option scanner vendor=0x4b8 product=0x011d
to file /etc/modules.conf
So it's possible to use currently unsupported scanner
- the option warmup is responsible for the waiting time
between switching the lamp on and starting calibration.
As stable lamp is useful for good picture quality ;-)
- The EPSON 1260 isn't a rebranded Plustek device. It
is only another scanner that based on the National Semiconductor
chipset "Merlin" or LM983x like some Plustek devices. I started
with the Plustek stuff and therefore the backend is called Plustek...
- TPA means TransParency Adaptor, you'll find it with the
1260 Photo models...
