Hi Yann,

the reason why you hardly find any answer is, that there are different
problems which cause this error....
The best way to solve this problem is to enable the debug
messages within the driver (Makefile, uncomment the line #Debug=y,
recompile and reload the driver), then send us the output of
dmesg.
In the past, there has been some problems with the parallelport
communication - you might go into the file plustek_driver/h/plustek_scan.h
and find the following lines:

/*.............................................................................
 * for port operations
 */
#if 0            

and replace the #if 0 by #if 1. Then recompile and try to reload....
But anyway send us the dmesg output.
