I did make the change CC = gcc to CC=kgcc but got a different error. The
new error is:
kgcc -Wal -Wstrict-prototypes -w -fomit-frame-pointer -D_PTDRV_V0=36
-D_PTDRV_BUILD=36 -D__KERNEL -I/usr/src/linux/include -I./h -I./.. -O -g
-DDEBUG -DMODULE -c src/dac.c -o obj/dac.o
