Hi Erasmo,
first of all, the tool find-scanner will not work with parallel-port
scanners! This is a rather old tool designed for SCSI-scanners.
Please have a look at the FAQ that was shipped with the driver -
there's one topic that deals with the "no devices" problem.
If this doesn't help, enable the debug messages of sane for
the plustek backend:
export SANE_DEBUG_PLUSTEK=12
The check what
scanimage -L
says....
Did you compile sane after installing the driver-code?
If not, you might get an error -9019 (in the debug output).
There's one thing that worries me, you say that you have an
OP9630P but the driver only recognizes an OP4830. Please
also enable the debug messages of the driver (see the
Makefile in plustek_driver), recompile and reload the module
and send the output of dmesg...
