hi gerhard,
i'm tired of trying to install the scanner driver with mandrake 8.0
and that's why i started from the begin again
- 1: I installed sane 1.0.4 backends and frontends with rpm
- 2. I installed the kernel-source mit rpm
- 3. I downloaded the driver and unziped it
- 4. I copied the folder plustek_driver into the folder
/usr/lib/sane
- 5. Now I wanted to make the driver but then it happend this
[daniel@localhost /]$ cd usr/lib/sane
[daniel@localhost sane]$ cd plustek_driver
[daniel@localhost plustek_driver]$ make
gcc -Wall -Wstrict-prototypes -fomit-frame-pointer -D_PTDRV_V1=0 -D_PTDRV_V0=37

i am a newbie but i think there must be a way to scan with linux.
where is the mistake i made ?
