I am using Mandrake 8.0 also, with the 0.37-25 driver. I also get
the warnings during compile (Mandrake 8.0 uses 2.96-0.48 gcc) but
the module loads OK and I can scan. Do you have the parport
modules loaded? ( modprobe parport_pc)
