LS,
I was happy to find a driver for my scanner. However, it does not seem to
work for me. Perhaps you can help.
Normally the scanner driver load as:
pt_drv : driver version 0.39-4
pt_drv0: 600P/6000P found on port 0x0378
pt_drv0: Lamp-Timer set to 180 seconds.
pt_drv0: WarmUp period set to 30 seconds.
pt_drv0: Lamp untouched on driver unload.
When I follow documentation and load with mov=2 it loads as:
pt_drv : driver version 0.39-4
pt_drv0: Primax 4800 Direct found on port 0x0378
pt_drv0: Lamp-Timer set to 180 seconds.
pt_drv0: WarmUp period set to 30 seconds.
pt_drv0: Lamp untouched on driver unload.
When I do a scanimage -T (or -L) I get:
[sanei_debug] Setting debug level of plustek to 12.
[plustek] sane_init: sane-backends 1.0.5
[plustek] sane_init, ># Plustek-SANE Backend configuration file<
[plustek] sane_init, >#<
[plustek] sane_init, ># for multiple devices use<
[plustek] sane_init, ># /dev/pt_drv0<
[plustek] sane_init, ># /dev/pt_drv1<
[plustek] sane_init, ># /dev/pt_drv2<
[plustek] sane_init, >#<
[plustek] sane_init, ><
[plustek] sane_init, >/dev/pt_drv0<
[plustek] sane_init, >/dev/pt_drv0<
[plustek] attach_one: >/dev/pt_drv0<
[plustek] attach (/dev/pt_drv0, (nil))
[plustek] drvopen()
[plustek] Scanner information:
[plustek] Model : Primax 4800 Direct
[plustek] Asic : 0x10
[plustek] Flags : 0x00000006
[plustek] Version: 0x00000027
[plustek] drvclose()
here it now hangs an the motor makes a noise like it cant go any further.
when I disconnect the cable scanimage will continue with:
[plustek] attach: model = >Primax 4800 Direct<
[plustek] sane_get_devices (0xbffff848, 0)
[plustek] sane_open - /dev/pt_drv0
[plustek] sane_start
[plustek] drvopen()
[plustek] ioctl PT_DRV_OPEN_DEVICE failed(-9021)
[plustek] sane_start: open failed: 2
scanimage: sane_start: Error during device I/O
[plustek] sane_cancel
[plustek] sane_close
[plustek] sane_exit
Any ideas on what the problem is?
Thanks,
NiElS
