Dear Sirs

I don't know whether or not you can help me, but I own one of these
incredibly ponderous machines, as does a friend of mine. Both machines have
developed the same problem, in that the scan results are coming out blue. A
sample image of a scanned slide is enclosed. I have, for the sake of
downloading time, reduced it in size, but you will certainly get the picture!
The problem is the same, when scanning photos. Although both machines have
been little used it is possible that the bulb may have been running when the
computer has been switched off. Could it be that the bulbs are worn? If so,
where please would I get a replacement(s) and how would I fit it? Perhaps you
have come across this problem elsewhere. I would be so grateful for any
advice you might be able to offer. PC World, from whom I bought the 9636T, on
a sale offer, are unable to help.

Equally, could you please tell me, assuming that these machines are not
writes-off, how to get at the underside of the glass to clean it.

Many thanks in anticipation. Incidentally, I also own an older 4830 Plustek,
which is marvellous!

Yours Faithfully

Mike Downing
