Thanks
Hi everybody!
I'm having problems with a Genius Colorpage Vivid 3xE, with has the usb
code 458/2017. I've compiled the usb scanner module and it loads
succesfully (I added the line of the scanner code to scanner.h so the
usb subsystem link the module to the device when I plug it, I don't know
if I have done a bestiality :).
I've also added the following lines to
/usr/local/etc/sane.d/plustek.conf:
#usb 0x07B3 0x0017
usb 0x0458 0x2017
/dev/usb/scanner0
(using devfs)
When I plug the scanner the device /dev/usb/scanner is created, and
trying to exac scanimage -d plustek hangs, an strace output of the last
lines follows:
close(3) = 0
open("./plustek.conf", O_RDONLY) = 3
fstat64(3, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=605, ...}) = 0
old_mmap(NULL, 4096, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS,
-1, 0) = 0x4001c000
read(3, "# Plustek-SANE Backend configura"..., 4096) = 605
open("/dev/usb/scanner0", O_RDWR) = 4
ioctl(4, 0x80045520, 0xbfffdfc8) = 0
ioctl(4, 0x80045521, 0xbfffdfc4) = 0
write(4, "\0\7\0\1\0", 5) = 5
write(4, "\0\10\0\1\2", 5) = 5
write(4, "\1\7\0\1", 4) = 4
read(4,
And there it hangs, showing sometimes in the logs the message:
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout.
I'm using sane-plustek 0.40-14.
Is there some way I can use my scanner on Linux?
Thanks*1000
