My previous missive, which didn't goto the list, should have
included that it is generating tons of messages in the messages
file, which I just noted, is no longer being rotated for some unk
reason.
Anyway these messages have the form of:
Jan 12 16:23:40 gene kernel: scanner.c: open_scanner(15): Unable
to access minor data
Out of a 3 meg+ messages file, I'd estimate at least 50k of
those, running from (1) to (15) and repeating.
and:
Jan 12 16:24:20 gene kernel: usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
which may or may not have a thing to do with this.
And this is logged during the reboot:
