Hi,
I've got a problem with SuSe 7.3 kernel 2.4.10 and the parallel-port
scanner. Can anybody give me a hint?
Previously i was working on an older computer with an additionlal ISA
paraLLELPORT using SuSe 6.4. I downloadet pt_drv integrated ite and
everything was fine.
Now I have a PCI-parallelport (The new Computer has no ISA!!) and I did
the same, downloaded pr_drv, installed it and tryed.
First it didn't find any scanner ??
Second, I discovered, that there was no second parallelport detected
(lsmod .. /proc/interrupts etc...)
Third replugging the scanner to be the standard port and chaining the
printer (HP695C) to it, the system detected the printer, but still not
the scanner.
I really don't know (after all test I could think of as recompiling the
kernel and so on) where the problem might be located.
Can anybody give me a hint ????
