Juergen,
the problem might be the HP printer! It has been reported, that
the problem apears while having enabled the IEEE1248 stuff
in the kernels' parport configuration...
You might play around with this stuff...
What do you mean "I have an PCI-parallelport"? Is this an extra
card? In that case, the parport module has to detect this card correctly!
