I had one teeny problem compiling one of my older projects.
The p12c509a.inc file insisted there was a processor mismatch.
Turns out to be a case mismatch -- the code supplies a #define
for __12C509a (lower case `a') and the include file checks for
__12C509A (upper case `A'), which doesn't match.  I worked
around it easily enough by changing the include file to match.
