In case you were wondering what all these messages are about, some idiot 
seems to think it's terribly funny to keep subscribing the gnupic 
mailing list to this yo5ofh yahoo group. Since Yahoo's mailing list 
software doesn't supply the full headers of the request in the 
confirmation message, there's not much I can do other than report the 
incident to Yahoo which I'm just about to do.

The reply I got from Yahoo Abuse showed typical cluelessness. It was 
basically a form letter saying "you don't appear to be subscribed to 
subscribed to that list" and explaining how to view headers in Outlook 
Express in order to find out what address I am subscribed as.
