Subject:
gpsim: Cannot run examples
From: Olli Vertanen ####@####.#### Date: 1 Nov 2005 12:46:24 +0000 Message-Id: <Pine.GSO.4.53.0511011414500.4148@cs.uku.fi> Hi, I installed some time ago gpsim and gputils packets. Now I'm trying to learn how to use the sw. I tried to run the simulations in the examples directory and bumped right into problems (example here is digital_stim). The instructions say: --begin README--- Assemble the .cod file: $ make Simulate the program: $ make sim ---end README--- OK, looks easy. But when I said make, no cod-file appeared, so the simulation failed :(. (Make output: $ make gpasm -c -i -I /wrklocal/share/gputils/header digital_stim.asm ) So, I tried to assist Makefile a little and used gplink. It produced the cod: $ gplink -c -o digital_stim.cod digital_stim.o message: using default linker script "/wrklocal/share/gputils/lkr/16f84.lkr" Now, when I ran the gpsim it was rather unhappy with my inputs: $ gpsim -c digital_stim.stc gpsim - the GNUPIC simulator version: 0.21.4 type help for help starting server.... bind: Address already in use bind: Address already in use started server ... gpsim> Sample asynchronous stimulus file Loading digital_stim.cod This cpu already has source files No long symbol table info FIXME: HLL files are not supported at the moment Enabling WDT timeout = 0.018 seconds Segmentation fault Taken that these samples should work, I must have something wrong with my set-up or I've badly misunderstood something. Any ideas? Thanks, Olli | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
