After getting source from SVN, refer to gpsim's _CVS_ instructions and perform all steps; the SVN tree does contains neither an 'autogen' nor a ./configure executable. My sense is that, if you have previously closed gpsim with a source window open, then subsequently gpsim will open with an empty source window and if you try to reload with the 'file open' on your .cod file, you will get a segfault. Thanks for the tip about "Google", I must take a look at this novel application ..
