Subject:
problems with pikdev tarball and deb pkg
From: "Maxim Wexler" ####@####.#### Date: 22 Jul 2006 17:49:30 +0100 Message-Id: <a0811460607220949if1de6a4tca360894867efea3@mail.gmail.com> Hi group Trying to install pkp on 'buntu breezy box. I tried pkgs pikdev-0.9.2-1.tar.gz and pikdev-0.9.1-1_i386.deb unpacked the tarball and did ./configure --prefix=/usr --with-qt-dir=/usr/share/qt3 --with-qt-includes=/usr/include/qt3 --with-qt-libraries=/usr/lib/qt3 --with-extra-libs=/usr/lib/kde3 --enable-libsuffix= ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^didn't use this bit, no kde Using gnome. I have crummy bandwidth here: 2.6 kb/s :( so rather not install kdebase. Anyways, rather use the command line. When I run ./configure get: <...> checking for X...configure error: Can't find X includes...add correct paths. <...> but from the configure script I note <..> line 26679 for ac_dir in <...> line 26685 /usr/include/X11 <...> which is correct. And when I did dpkg -i pikdev*deb, of course it failed when it couldn't find kde. What do I do now? Is their an option I can add to dpkg so that it will ignore the lack of kde or skip everything not pkp? -Maxim | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
