gnupic: Thread: the best software for manage PICs in Linux

Hi,

I'm new in Pic's world and great entusiastic for Linux, in my first steps
programming PICs I chage my SO for Win, but I don't like. I have seen
www.gnupic.org and there are many software for all cycle assemblers,
compilers, simulators, programmers and more...

with my serial programmer I try with oddysey, but I can't try it with all
software.

in your experience, which is  the best software for manage PICs in Linux?
(assemblers, compilers, simulators, programmers)
